Black Media for the 21st Century...

You need to check this brother out...

I can not remember this first day that I noticed that one of the most well versed experts on blogging happens to be a brother. I started reading his blog months ago and then one day his photo popped up on the home - BAM.

The more time I spend on the site, How to Blog for Fun and Profit, the more I realize that T.L. is one of those brothers that you just need to know. So, take a few minutes and stop in on his site, and drop him an email.

Audio and Video about Okokon Okon

About a year ago I lost a dear friend, Okokon Okon. The MP3 and video files below are from a broadcast of Atlanta's Fox 5 , Georgia's Most Wanted, which featured Okon's unsolved case.

Black people blogging

Just in case blogging is new to you, we don't want you to think that Black bloggers are few and far between. Here are some of our favorites.

  • Chris Rabb does of fine job of keeping the Brothers and Sister on point when it comes to Black politics: Afronetizen
  • For those of you that might have more in common with Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell, you might want to check out  brother Cobb. He has the Republican thing down pat: Cobb
  • Now this Sister's photo blog is second to none in net. She may live in the Netherlands, but often shows her Southern roots: Rachel James - BrownGlasses

More to come later

Hey, where is EverythingBlack.com email?

Great question! Well, it is where it has always been, but without the old EB.C site you may have had trouble reaching you in-box. So, the link to EB.C mail can now be found on the right hand side this page.

Sorry for the inconvenience and I hope your in-box is not full of spam.

Our first entry...

Well, the world has changed again. Regardless of who you voted for (I think I can guess), the world of EverythingBlack.com have flipped upside down. After 6 years of publishing the largest African American focus search engine, and a 6 month sabbatical we (PatrickMac and I) have decided to "get out the Search Game" and use our platform, databases and viewers to create a new Internet resource for people of color.

This all came about in early 2004 when we decided to reformat our concept (Google is doing a fine job as a Search Engine, do we still need ), and we found that the idea of having a collection of Blogs that  represent the interest of those who have shown so much love EverythingBlack.com over the years would be a great new focus. So, here are. We are starting with five Blogs, and plan to add five more in 2005. To find out more about what Blogs are go here.

To see a list of the Blogs within our network, look at the list down the left hand side of the screen. One on the best features of Blogs is that not only can we provide editorial content for you but you can also provide comments, and in some cases we have invited some of you to become Authors for the network.

If you have any feedback click the comment link below and post a comment.

All the best,

JHarris
